Simultaneous assessment of a whole variety of biomarkers is relevant for several topics within clinical trials. Either there is the intention to investigate the pathophysiological processes or to test the efficacy of drug candidates based on biomarkers. There are several Multiplex systems available. The Sector imager from MESO SCALE DISCOVERY* (MSD) is outstanding in terms of accuracy and precision. MLM conducted validation studies for proinflammatory cytokines and kidney parameters according to EMA and FDA guidelines.  The list of parameters is constantly growing.
