New packaging line for more efficient logistics services
Logistic challenges in clinical trials are getting more and more complex due to e.g. multinational trials and trials in emerging countries. The Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation defined GDP (Good Distribution Practice) as one of the central issues in clinical trials and therefore put it on the same level as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
But not only the distribution of medicines and IMP (Investigational Medicinal Products) is a great challenge in clinical trials.MLM Medical Labs distributes sampling kits to over 40 countries worldwide, making sure the sites have all the material they need for drawing samples and sending them back to central labs like MLM. The customized sampling kits are assembled in MLM’s proprietary MLM Kit Building unit and range from safety kits to very complex PD/PK/Biomarker sampling kits. In 2018 over 50.000 kits were assembled and distributed.
