Great Partnering and Molecular Food at Swiss Biotech Day
The 11th edition of the Swiss Biotech Day offered everything one can expect from a perfect conference. A program packed with high-level speakers and diversified formats, 600 senior executives from the Swiss and European life science industry, a well-visited exhibition and a 20th anniversary celebration with molecular food and live music at the end of the day.
It was MLM’s first time exhibiting at the conference and Business Director Katja Neuer was very satisfied at the end of the day, “Over the partnering system we were able to prearrange several promising meetings. But also the contacts we made directly at the booth were very interesting and of great value to us.”
The certain highlight of the program was the keynote speech of Vas Narasimhan, the newly appointed CEO of Novartis. He announced Novartis intention to increase the amount of externally developed pipeline programs up to 40% and reminded the audience that success stories are often stories of courage. Here he referred to Novartis’ CAR-T therapy Kymriah®, which was FDA approved at the beginning of the month.
On the occasion of its 20th anniversary the Swiss Biotech Association, presented five Swiss Biotech Success Stories to round off the day. The new format was a great mixture of networking, digitations and celebration.
