One of the most frequented services in our central lab is the performance of multiplex assays. Seven years ago, we decided for MSDs high-performance electrochemiluminescence platform technology and the demand for the assays on this platform has been ever growing since. Therefore this June we installed a second QuickPlex SQ120 to meet our customer’s needs and be able to perform sample analysis in a short turnaround time. MSD offers a wide range of assays and especially the multiplex panels for cytokines and other growth factors, like IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, TNF-alpha, GLP-1 are valuable biomarkers in autoimmune, oncology and diabetes trials. The major advantages of the QuickPlex is the ability to analyze up to 10 parameters simultaneously with a sample volume between 25-75 µl and the high dynamic ranges of the assays.
